Google Sheets MCP server
Your agent reads your sheets like a table and keeps them up to date.
Offre gratuite · sans carte bancaire · configuration en 2 minutes
Connect Google Sheets and your agent reads any tab as rows, with the first row as column names. It appends a new lead, writes a weekly report line, updates a status column or creates a new spreadsheet with its tabs.
Sheets is where many small teams keep their CRM, inventory or content plan. With Anaella the agent works in that sheet directly instead of asking you to export it.
Tools
What your agent can do in Google Sheets
Typed tools with input schemas, so the agent calls them right the first time. Account tools are free on every plan.
sheets.readRead rows from a tab, first row as column names by default.
sheets.appendAdd rows at the end of a table: a report line, a new lead.
sheets.updateOverwrite cells, such as a status column or a price.
sheets.infoA spreadsheet’s title and tabs, with their sizes.
sheets.createCreate a spreadsheet with its tabs and starting rows.
sheets.tab.addAdd or rename a tab.
sheets.clearClear the values of a range; the formatting stays.
A watch on sheets.read reports new rows. Sheets has no push for cell changes, so this one is checked on the schedule you set.
Examples
Ask it in plain words
- “Read the Leads sheet and tell me which ones have not been contacted in two weeks.”
- “Add every new Stripe customer from today as a row in the Customers sheet.”
- “Mark the rows for orders that shipped as Done.”
- “Tell me when someone adds a row to the Requests tab.”

Google Sheets MCP FAQ
Do I need to share the sheet with a service account?+
No. The agent acts as the Google account you connected, so it opens the same sheets you can.
Can it handle large sheets?+
sheets.read takes a range and returns rows in pages, so the agent reads the part it needs instead of the whole file.
Does it keep my formulas?+
Appending and updating write values to the cells you name; other cells and their formulas are untouched, and clearing a range keeps its formatting.
Can it read Excel files?+
Excel files stored in Drive can be read as text with drive.file.read. To edit one, convert it to Google Sheets first.
